5.1. Oil Replacement
5.1. Oil Replacement
Attention
If oiling is performed incorrectly, the internal pressure of the lubrication bath may suddenly increase, possibly causing damage to the oil seal, which would in turn lead to oil leakage and abnormal operation. When performing oiling, therefore, observe the following cautions |
(1) Make sure to wear protective goggles before replacement/inspection.
(2) To discharge used oil, remove the plug from oil inlet and level hole.
(3) When loosening the plug, it may suddenly be discharged along with oil so make sure that they do not cause damage to your face or the other parts of your body, and maintain a safe distance from the plug. (Do not look into the oil outlet.)
(4) When oiling, if possible, avoid using a compressed-air pump, powered by the factory air supply. Restrict the oiling pressure less than 1.5bar(1.5kgf/cm2).
(5) Use only the specified oil. Otherwise, it may damage the reduction gear or lead to other problems.
(6) After oiling, confirm that no oil is leaking from the oil outlet and that the lubrication bath is not pressurized, then re-attach the plug in the oil inlet and level hole.
(7) To prevent accidents caused by slipping, completely wipe up any oil spilled on the robot or floor.
(8) When an ambient temperature is more than 40℃, be sure to shorten the period of oil replacement and grease replenishment in half.
