5. Auto stick recovery
Wire might be stuck on the material when arc welding is ended. Stick prevention process to raise the voltage temporarily when welding is ended will be done to the welder to prevent this situation.
After stick prevention action is taken, the controller needs to check about the stick by sending stick inspection signal to the welder in order to find out about stick removal. The automatic stick removal function will allow the stick removal process to be performed automatically when stick is detected, making it possible for a robot to continue welding without stopping.
When using this function, it is possible to supply a certain level of voltage, right after stick is detected, to allow stick to be removed automatically. Additional retries for removing stick will be repeated according to the set count. If stick is not removed even when the set count is exceeded, the 『Stick In Progress』 signal will be generated, and the robot will stop.
The Auto Stick Recovery condition can be set through the ‘Auto Stick Recovery’ dialogue box. Through the dialogue box, it is possible to enter 『Arc welding start condition』→『[F2]: End cnd』→『[F1]: Aux. cnd』.
