6.3.5. GAS SPRING

6.3.5. GAS SPRING

When the pressure of the gas spring drops excessively, it causes abnormal heating and an overload of the motor. The damage on the piston rod surface of the gas spring causes pressure loss so make sure to maintain it to prevent damage.

Maintain bearings at the top and the bottom of the gas spring by fueling regularly to prevent damage.

Make sure to check if the controller and external power supply is turned OFF before inspecting the gas spring. Make sure that the controller and external power supply is not switched on by another person by accident.

Wear safety glasses before inspecting gas pressure.

n Diagnostics

Check if the cover that protects the piston rod of the gas spring is damaged.

Check if the surface of the piston rod of the gas spring is damaged.

Check if the pressure of the gas spring is normal.

Follow the “9.1. Check the Pressure of the Gas Spring” to check the pressure.

Check if BS JOIN assembled at the top and the bottom of the assembled gas spring substances is eccentric and overheating, or if there are foreign substances at the bearing.

n Resolution

When overload occurs because of gas pressure loss or pressure drop, refill nitrogen gas or replace the assembled gas spring substances.

Replace a bearing when a malfunction occurs in a bearing of BS JOINT.

Contact our customer service if there are any difficulties in handling.

Follow the “9.2. Charge Gas into the Spring” to charge gas.

Follow the “9.4. Replace Assembled Gas Spring Substances” for the pressure standard and replacement of pressure.
