5.1. Oil Replenishment/Replacement

5.1. Oil Replenishment/Replacement

Attention

If oil isn’t injected in a correct manner, the inner pressure of an injection part is suddenly increased, and so damage of oil seal, leakage of oil, and an abnormal operation may be caused. Therefore, observe details below without exception when feeding oil.

(1)   Fully remove the plug for checking the oil level before injecting the oil.

(2)   Avoid the use of a pressure air pump driven by supplied plant air to the greatest extent possible, and limit oil injecting pressure to below 7bar(7kgf/cm2).

(3)   Use the designated oil type, or damage to the decelerator and other problems may result.

(4)   After injecting the oil, check that there is no oil leaking from the oil outlet, the pressure of the injection part, and then plug in.

(5)   To prevent accidents, wipe up any oil that is spilled on the robot’s body or on the floor.

(6)   If the robot is being operated in an area where the temperature is above 40, reduce coil supplement/replacement period to 1/2 the original period.
