5.2. Battery Replacement
The position data of each axis is preserved by the backup batteries. The batteries need to be replaced every two years. To replace batteries observe the following procedure.
(1) With the power of the control in On condition, press the emergency stop button.
| Attention If you do not remove the outlet plug before supplying the grease, the grease can get into the motor to damage the motor. Always remove the plug. |
(2) Separate the cover of the battery location by each axis.
(3) Remove the old battery.
(4) Insert the new battery. Pay attention to the direction.

(5) Install the cover to its original location.

| Attention ü Do not dispose the batteries. Dispose of the battery with industrial waste according to the laws and other rules in the country where the controller is installed. ü Do not recharge the batteries, otherwise batteries may result in exploding or overheating. ü Do not use any batteries other than the recommended one. ü Change the batteries only with the specified one. ü Do not short circuit the +/- of the battery. ü Do not expose batteries to high temperature or flame. |
