3.6. Block Edit

 

This copies a block of the program and enables the user to copy, cut or delete the block. The number of the control line including the step number is automatically changed after copying.

 

(1)   To copy/cut/delete in line units, move the cursor to the address area press the [F2]: block edit key. This will highlight all address and command area. Use the [Direction] key to move the cursor to the starting line of the block selection.

(2)   Press the ENTER] key at the starting line of the block to select. Move to the last line of the block to select using the [Direction] key. You will see the highlighted block as shown in the following screen.

(3)   Move to the selected area and press the [F2]: Copy key to save the selected block to the clipboard and then the following [F3]: Paste menu will be displayed. Use the [Arrow] key to move the cursor to the previous row (S4 row) before the row to copy, and press[F3]: Paste to copy the saved block from the clipboard as follows.

(4)   If you use the [F5]: Auto comment key, you can enter or delete an annotation of an imperative sentence based on the argument of each statement in the selected range. For more information about automatic annotation input, see first the 4.7.8. Command statement comment.”

(This feature is available from the Hi5a V40.06-00 and later versions)

 

l In the state in which a block is selected when you press the [F5]: Auto comment key, the command statement comment is automatically entered. It applies to the following: pose-expression-MOVE statement, assignment statement, WAIT statement, IF statement, SELECT statement, and SPOT statement.

 

l If there is an existing command statement comment, it is treated with overwriting.

 

l If the block contains a SPOT statement, you first need to select the starting number of the SPOT serial number as shown in the figure.

 

l The prefix of a SPOT serial number is applied as the setting of a command statement comment screen.

When you press the [F5]: Auto comment key with the [SHIFT] key, it will delete all the comments in the selected range. (However, it does not delete comments such as REM.)
